We recently put a marquee up for the landlady of our local pub, she was due to get married earlier in the year but coronavirus forced it to be postponed, initially, they were going to put it back until next year but thought “no, we said we’re getting married in 2020 and that is what we’ll do.” They had space in the pub to host a small reception and evening party for family and friends.

They asked us to put the marquee up a couple of days before the wedding day so that it could be decorated by an event decor and florist company the next day.  They had the perfect space for it, a square section of ground 7m by 7m made it ideal for a 6m by 6m marquee. As always we supplied and erected the marquee, as well as festoon lighting, infrared heaters and green carpet for both the marquee flooring and to create a walkway from the garden room to the marquee door.

After we installed the marquee they had a blank canvas of space to express themselves and decorate as they wished with covered tables, chairs with chair covers and royal blue bows, flowers on each table and on the roof braces above, as well as a separate table for the cake. It looked brilliant!

By using a marquee for their wedding it meant that they had an extra “room” for dining and entertaining their wedding guests. The pub isn’t the biggest of places and doesn’t have the luxury of a function room either, even if it dis they still would have been limited to capacity. Also, it didn’t matter what the weather decided to do; in wind, rain, sun or freezing temperatures the marquee would serve its purpose, keeping these guests warm, dry and protected from gusts. Let’s face it, one thing you can’t guarantee on your wedding day is the weather, especially in the north east of England!

Having a marquee creates a unique talking point and feature of your wedding day, it’s a stylish and quirky element of the day. Our marquees come in a range of sizes to suit your wedding party size, they can be joined together to create an alternate shape or an even bigger room and can also be butted up to a building to act as an extension on an existing social space. They can be used as the main venue itself for a ceremony, reception and night do, or as a separate space for any of the above. We offer roof linings, curtains, fairy lights, chandeliers and even disco party lights to bring your wedding marquee to life!

Let your imagination run wild with how you want to personalise your wedding marquee, make use of your outdoor space at home or at an official venue. Don’t cram your guests into an enclosed room and certainly don’t take a chance on the weather! Contact us today and let us help create your special day
