We have been lucky enough to be involved in some special wedding days this year. Garden weddings, or just garden receptions, were massively popular with us again this summer season with many loved up couples wanting to celebrate their big day at home with close family and freinds.
The beauty is that each time, after we erect the marquee, we leave a blank canvas of space for the bride and groom to express themselves and decorate as they wish, we can offer a few touches ourselves such as Ivory roof lining, wall linings & curtains, fairy lights and even LED dance party lights to bring your wedding to life! But we also work with some excellent décor companies that can provide anything from furniture hire with table and chair covers, to flower walls, balloon arches, LED letters, mobile bars, dancefloors and DJ’s. Just ask us for our recommendations!
Having a marquee creates a unique talking point and feature of your wedding day; it adds a stylish and quirky element to the day. By using a marquee for a wedding it means that you gain an extra “room” for dining and entertaining your wedding guests at home, the only restriction is the size of the garden! Our marquees come in a range of sizes to suit your wedding party size from 15 to 150, they can be joined together to create an alternate shape or an even bigger room and can also be butted up to a building to act as an extension on an existing social space. A marquee can be used as the main venue itself for a ceremony, reception and night do, or as a completely separate space for the dancefloor, the buffet, the entertainment room, the chill out room; whatever you want it to be!
Also, it doesn’t matter what the weather decides to do; in wind, rain, sun or freezing temperatures the marquee would serve its purpose, keeping your guests warm, dry and protected from gusts. Let’s face it, one thing you can’t guarantee on your wedding day is the weather, especially in the north east of England! For that reason, all of our marquees come with carpet flooring, festoon lighting and heating as standard. We use commercial quality fully waterproof marquees with tie down straps that can withstand high winds, meaning your guests are well protected, whatever the weather.
